Full Time/$54,000 Annually (38 weeks)
Open position available for the 2025-2026 school-year. 40 hours, 5 days per week for a Student Assistance Program (SAP) Counselor at the middle school level. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of youth! Second Start has been a N.H. leader in providing alcohol and other drug prevention services in schools since 1986, through the Student Assistance Program. We are seeking potential candidates who have a passion for working with youth and families and thrive in a team-oriented environment. In this role you will provide supportive individual and group counseling to teens, lead classroom discussions on topics related to substance use and mental health, and initiate school-wide prevention messaging for students, staff, and parents. This position is in a middle school located 43 miles northwest of Concord. Experience working in the substance use and/or mental health field is preferred. This position offers extensive training and ongoing mentoring and supervision. Although allowed autonomy, you will never feel alone.
