You have helped our family with what is possibly the hardest job around. You have devoted your time, energy and compassion not only to our children, but to others. It takes a special type of individual to be able to do this, and I must say you have all done it well. It’s not easy to leave your children in someone else’s care for the whole work day, but knowing that they were in able hands made leaving them easier.

Our Mission & Vision

Second Start is a private non-profit educational organization located in Concord, New Hampshire since 1971. Second Start offers a wide variety of programs designed to improve the economic and educational well-being of New Hampshire residents.

Our mission is to help people become more productive workers, family members and community citizens. We provide supportive, affordable and effective educational programs, including: adult basic education, job training and career counseling, education and training for at-risk youth, and child care services.
