For those who want to go to college, we offer a class called "College Preparation for Adults". This is a free 15 week course for adults who have a high school diploma, an adult diploma or a GED certificate. Students spend this time developing the essential skills they will need to succeed in the demanding colege environment. Instructors focus on reading, writing, math, speaking, active listening and effective note-taking. Students also improve their computer skills and learn how to use the Internet for schoolwork. Our career counselor helps students map out their career paths to reach their goals.

In addition to gaining valuable academic skills, participants in this program become familiar with other aspects of college life. Classes focus on filling out college applications, applying for financial aid, campus living, course expectations and grading policies.
